Intro to Pickleball


What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is a fun sport that mixes tennis, ping-pong, and badminton. It's played with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes on a small court with a low net. It’s easy to learn and great for all ages.

Basic Info:

  • Players: 2 (singles) or 4 (doubles)
  • Court Size: 20 feet by 44 feet
  • Net Height: 36 inches at the sides, 34 inches in the middle
  • Paddle: Solid (not stringed)
  • Ball: Lightweight plastic ball with holes

What You Need to Start Playing:

How to Play:

  • Serve the ball across the court
  • The ball must bounce once on each side before hitting it in the air
  • You can only score when you are serving
  • There is a “no-volley zone” near the net (called the “kitchen”)
  • Games usually go to 11 points, and you must win by 2
